We headed up to Potter's Pond this year for the Miller Family Reunion. It was a fabulous time (even with zero reception on our cell phones! haha)
The VERY first thing that happened as we pulled into our campsite was: Marissa found this huge branch (that looks like a trident) - and excitedly said, "Look, Mom! I'm Finnick!" (Ya know - from the book "Catching Fire" - sequel to "Hunger Games") The girl is obsessed, I tell ya! :) Aaron found himself a big ol' honkin' walking stick. :D
The kids had to get on the 4-wheelers right away - so, M took them on rides before we even had things set up!
Marissa enjoys being old enough to be a driver on the 4-wheeler. Here's the Gramps bbq-ing steaks for our first dinner there. They were deeeeelish!
We got everything set up - and Megs got busy playing in the dirt:
These girlies got busy playing Barbies. :) True camping experiences right here, folks!
The kids had so much fun playing together - and were very happy when M made popcorn:
S'mores and Starbursts. Yum!
M-the favorite. Good thing she can still fit her arms around all three of these girls - they were all insistent that they got that seat ... M's lap!
Burning the garbage duty. Aaron confessed that this was one of his favorite parts of the trip:
Played lotsa games and had lotsa laughs together in grandma and grandpa's tent trailer. Krystal drew a picture of "Queen M" with the 'M' shaped crown:
Truly - none of us could get enough of this cute lil' Megs. She brought SO many smiles to our trip!
Tyler borrowed M's sunglasses - and they brought out all the girliness in him that he could muster. LOL! I love this picture. Makes me laugh. :)
More 4-Wheelin':
Even I did some 4-wheelin'! Marissa took me. :)
This is what Marissa looks like when she's driving a 4-wheeler. :)
My pretty girl:
Kristy nailed Melynda with a marshmallow in a sling shot. Melynda cried. Kristy did too (but, from laughing so hard). Nostalgia, I tell ya. :)
These are the kinds of things that happened randomly throughout the trip ... everyone taking aim at the lone pop can across the way. It even got hit a few times!
We love being together! Many more pictures on the way!
