We Are FaM.i.Ly!

We had a FABULOUS day with Kent and Leisy when they came down for Leisy's sister's wedding. We were all so SO happy to see them and their sweet boys.

We got to enjoy Kent and see him in action ... practicing to be a doctor of some sort ... Ty and I are rooting for the Pediatrician calling :)!

We just could NOT get enough of these cute and fun boys:

The kids really just had a blast together:

I just LOVE being all together. I miss Kent and Leisy SOOOOO bad!!!!

I'm so proud of my lil' brother, Kenter-Qube. He is such a great man - fabulous hubby and father - and spectacular brother. We are really blessed to have each other.

Sure love y'all - my familia!

Wizards of Waverly Place Party

Did any of you watch the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie Premier? Well -- it wasn't fabulous. But, Marissa's fun party helped take away some of the disappointment. (and maybe it was just me that thought the show was a little lame-o) :)

I had this ingenius idea to have popcorn with lots of different flavor shakers. They were a hit ... although they were a DIS.AS.TER. to clean up. Still ... I think I'll do that again. Easy-peasy! (the "suppose to look like wizard hats" cones are their popcorn holders)

Since this party - I'm TOTALLY not in party mode ... hopefully I'll be ready by Halloween, 'cuz Miss is already planning and trying to set a date. *sigh* ... 12 year old joys. ;)

All I Want For Christmas ...

I know this picture is disgusting ... but, seriously - this kid's two front teeth both DIED (I mean lined with gray dead) before they finally fell out. He had a dentist appointment back in May or so ... and the dentist said to wiggle those teeth like crazy to have them out before Summer. Well -- Aaron determinedly let them hang on (literally) clear until school started. Gross.

Thank heavens they're finally out ... and yet, those permanent teeth are sure taking their own sweet time to come in. Losing a tooth at school is pretty dang cool, though -- he got to put his name on a chart, choose a prize, and go to the office to get a neat tooth holder.
... That'll teach him ...
:)

Loyalty?

Just look at the power of football:

From BYU versus Oklahoma ...

HAPPINESS and PRIDE!!

To BYU versus Florida State ...

SCOWL!! hahahahahaha!

But, ya know they're as loyal as can be. Go Cougars! Better playing next time.

First Days of School

Heaven help me ... I have a 7th grader. Marissa's not too keen on waking up early enough to be ready and to the bus stop by 7:15. I can't blame her ... I can barely lift my head off the pillow to tell her "good-bye" each morning. Bless her heart. She's almost not made it several times ... and DIDN'T make it the 6th day of school claiming she needed a break. nice. We keep tweaking and re-tweaking to try to help her make this adjustment. Overall, though - she REALLY loves being at school -- has fabulous friends -- her teachers seem wonderful -- we broke down and let her have the "home" cell phone (best decision ever) -- and she's quite cute ... so she'll make it. :)

Aaron is absolutely IN LOVE with 2nd grade!! Of course, this kid was made for school. He's smart, obedient, friendly, kind ... just teacher's pet material (I'm not too prejudice, am I?) Since all 3 of our kids started school on different days this year ... I, for some reason didn't even THINK about getting pictures of Aaron before school on his first day. We get to the school - I'm dropping him off like just a regular old day --- and Moms and Dads are hauling in photography equipment ... and walking their own children in. I had just pulled myself out of bed ... so there was NO WAY I was getting out of the car at all. I simply had to say, "Sure love ya bud! Have a good day!" - and let him go on his way. Wonderful, wonderful parenting skills. I DID make it with camera in tow AFTER school, though. TOTALLY redeemed myself :D!

It musta done me in getting Marissa off to school that first week - because, when Krystal's turn came - we got her all beautified and ready for her first day ... and she was SOOOO excited. I took a million pictures of her walking into preschool and all that jazz -- I FOR SURE wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. The whole time I was wondering where all the other parents and kids were. Yeah. I brought her a day early for her first day. Again ... nice. No worries ... she was beautified and ready the next day for her official first day of pre-school.

Now we're into the daily reading logs, homework sign-offs, practice times, tv limits, TEXTING limits (sheesh), job checks, strict bedtimes --- the whole exhausting 9 yards! But, I'm so glad school is back in!

A New Look!

We painted the piano room for my birthday ... I've been wanting to for so long -- but worry about picking the right color. So - after thinking and longing for this color for about a year - we went for it ...

The spot by the piano was super tricky ...

After 2 coats of paint and a coat of "wipe on-wipe off" glaze ... voila:

Personally, I love it!! :)
One room at a time ... that's how it goes over here! Hopefully another room or two will be done before another year slips by.

I'm NOT a Football Fan ...

Buuuuuuut ...
  1. I am a Jenson, and therefore, "football love" is in my blood (or so I'm told).
  2. Tonight's game has GOT to be an exception for non-lovers of football.
  3. The joy is just contagious ... (keep in mind that this video was taken AFTER the jumping into each others arms and shedding of a few tears)

Damn you Cougars -- I am feeling a little more sporty tonight ... and only got 3 pages of my book read. :)

Glitter Toes

I am soooooo lucky to be close enough to my sisters to be with them often. And ... I can't believe my Marissa is old enough to be a part of our get-togethers as well. It is so fun.

M took all of us to Prestige to have our toes polished and beautified. We really felt pampered and had a wonderful time. Aren't they cute and sparkly?

All of us were too lazy right here on the couch to get up and get a decent camera ... so this fuzzy picture is all we got. Despite the fuzzy quality, we sure are feelin' gorgeous!! :D

Can you tell whose toes are whose?

Thanks M for a fabulous treat!

Demolition Derby

DEFINITELY a new family tradition for us ... the Spanish Fork Demolition Derby!

I know Krystal looks all girly ... well, she is. She isn't the BIGGEST fan of cars crashing into each other ... but she humored us and came along ... and tried not to complain toooo much. Although, she did ask, "is it almost over?" about 100 times. ;)

hahaha, M! I kept telling you I was taking pictures and you were in them ...

Our fellow demolition - ers:

The flash on my camera doesn't usually work ... so I didn't get many pictures after the derby started. We were super happy Anaka was able to come have ONE more Summer activity with us! We hate being so far away from cousins!

We had a super fun night!

'til next year .... Can't WAIT!!
