Google Storage

Does anyone know what I need to do to be able to use my newly purchased google storage for posting pictures on my blog?  It's only $5.00/year for lots of storage, and I know others (of you even) have already purchased this storage and are using it successfully.  I purchased mine 5 days ago, and I still can't post pictures!!  I'm not sure what to do.  Suggestions?  My account shows that I have the additional storage (and that I have used 0% of it) - but, when I try to post pictures, google tells me I don't have enough storage.  SO CONFUSING!!
