The kids finished their first week of school - and then we headed up to Palisade Campground to extend our Summer just a bit with Grandma Pat and Grandpa Brent.
The first of September is a BEEEEEEAUTIFUL time of year to go camping!
We had some good times right in the tent trailer that Gma and Gpa shared with our WHOLE family! :) The wind would pick up pretty good - and we would all head inside for yummy food and fun games.
Playing on the beach is the best ... my kiddos' favorite. The lake was too choppy due to wind to go canoeing, but lounging alongside the lake was absolutely heavenly. Nice and cool - gorgeous views. Millions of birds would dive down to the lake to catch themselves some dinner. I can't believe I don't have a picture showing that! Very pleasant evening!
Grandma and Aaron decided to take a brisk walk around part of the lake. And here's Kryssie snuggling with her grandma after getting a little too wet for the cool temps.
We had a great time playing lots of games. Tyler is the "Trivia" king - and here he is impressing us all with his 'Catch Phrase' musical artist skills:
Me and my daddy! Sure love this man!
Here are the kids having some more beach fun. Marissa gets a little crazy, Krystal stays a lot cute, and Aaron keeps active! Ty and my Dad went golfing and Tyler golfed his best game this Summer (albeit - it was the ONLY game he golfed - hahaha)! They had a blast.
More gamin' in the tent trailer!
Time for bed:
TyMan took the kids fishing first thing in the morning. Marissa was determined to catch a fish ... and SUCCEEDED! She refused to touch it, of course - in princess style all the way, but she was sure proud. Lil' Aaron was a good sport and kept a positive attitude saying, "Good job, Dee! Now both my sisters have caught a fish ... it'll FOR SURE be my turn next!" Ah well - hopefully he'll get his day.
In the mean time - he can sport some pretty studly fisherman poses! ;) Krystal apparently threw a fit most of the time they were fishing, because she wanted to be done waiting for the fish (I'm with her, man!) - so, Ty spent a lot of time doing what he does best ... cheering that drama queen up!
We had such a fabulous weekend. Thanks for making it happen, Mom and Dad! Sure love you guys!

Tell Marissa that I LOVE her lemon shirt! Classic!
Great pictures!! Sure looks like you guys had a great time. I missed out. O-well maybe next time!
That was a fun trip - minus the stiff neck. You are a real trooper because you didn't let it stop any of the good times.
